Landscapes of Philly Cycling: Professional races from the late 1980’s to early 2000’s

The images posted here have been taken at the US Professional Cycling Races (originally as the Core States Race, then First Union, etc.) between the late 1980’s and the early 2000’s.  They are posted here to feature some of the wonderful vantage points in our city for viewing the races, particularly the Ben Franklin Parkway and Lemon Hill.  No images of the famous Manayunk Wall are included – it has always been too difficult to find the right spot for photography because the Wall tends to be the most crowded segment of the course! Note the Festina rider and the Philly motorcycle police enjoying comparisons of their two-wheeled vehicles!
